The System infrequently offers a variety of sewing classes at The System in the Abbotsford Convent. Taught by experienced designer, pattern maker, and heart of The System, Jack Hancock, these classes will cater to beginner and experienced makers alike, with offerings of single classes, day workshops, and several day courses. Domestic Garment Technology is the practice of creating, altering, and mending clothing with one’s own skills and resources. Using hands and machines this practice returns the means of production to the individual and the collective, to refine an old skill or introducing one that is entirely new.
